Thank you for using Smart mineralogist. Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this Policy for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and disclose personal information. Updates to this policy with regards to its previous iteration are highlighted in this text color. The following outlines our privacy policy. 

1. Smart mineralogist collects the following pieces of personal information each time you choose to use the “contact us” or “report a bug” functionality of the App:

   • E-mail address registered to your e-mail client;

   • Manufacturer and model of your device.

   • System software version running on the device.

   • Hardware information of your device, which includes; memory usage, CPU usage and system board type.

   • IP address of your device.

2. Smart mineralogist also anonymously collects application log data unique to smart mineralogist in the event of application errors or crashes. This data is anonymously sent to secured cloud storage through the device’s available internet connection, if allowed to do so by application preferences. The technology used by this feature is developed by Google™ Inc. and may collects additional personal information beyond the scope mentioned in (a) above.

3. Smart mineralogist uses advertising technology developed by Google™ Inc. that collects additional pieces of personal information beyond the scope stipulated above. To know more on what and how Google collects this information, please click here.

4. In compliance with the European Economic Area’s General Data Protection Regulation “GDPR”, European Union citizens are required to grant consent for the collection of the afore mentioned personal information. By agreeing to this privacy policy, you hereby grant us consent to collect the aforementioned personal information in compliance with the GDPR guidelines.

5. Smart mineralogist does not collect any personal information when external links described in section 7 of our End User License Agreement are clicked.

6. Collection and usage of personal information is solely within the objective of analyzing application usage activity, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law to do otherwise.

7. We will only retain personal information as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes.

8. We will collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with the knowledge or consent of the individual concerned.

9. We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

10. We will make readily available to users information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.
