As stated on the introduction, the App migration tool behaves differently based on the Android version you are running on. This section explains how to use the tool on Android versions 10 and higher. Again, if you are unsure of your android version, go to your device’s 'Settings > About phone > Android version'. Try to compare the numbers shown there with the following numbers:
10, 11, 12, 12L, 13, 14 and higher
If your number matches with any of the above versions, then this guide is for you.
App migration on Standby, Android 10
App migration will launch to a window with a grid of rectangular cards which represents all the available storage options on your device. Attached USB storage disks or memory pens are ignored.
If your device lacks additional storage options, then only your primary storage will be shown, represented by a Phone or Tablet Icon.
The storage option containing the App’s assets will have a solid bold white border as well as the word 'occupied' underneath its icon.
The storage options where you can move the asset files will contain a modest white border as well as the available space the App is allowed to use for moving purposes.
The tool will auto remove all legacy asset files it finds on your device, which might have been left there due to uninstalls or app upgrades.
To move the asset files to another storage location, simply…
Tap any card (storage option) which is not 'occupied'.
Tap 'Yes' to the popup that follows and wait a few seconds for the tool to finish its work.
Upon completion, you should have freed from 68 MB or higher of space from your internal storage.

The tool will confirm a successful transfer by showing a solid bold border on your new storage option that now houses the assets. It will also contain the text 'occupied' underneath its icon. You can repeat this procedure any number of times.
