The Mineral index holds a catalog of all minerals present in the Smart mineralogist database. The index is grouped alphabetically with each index item hosting names of all minerals in their respective alphabets. The index item also holds the mineral count found on its letter. Tapping any of the alphabet indices will reveal a new list of minerals belonging to that alphabet.

But if you don’t want any scrolling behavior, tap this option to disable all text scrolling for the Mineral index only.
Tablet devices show both the index on the left and the mineral list on the right of the same screen. Tapping any alphabet index item will cause the mineral list to be updated for that alphabet on the right.
